Kid-Friendly Waiting Area

Dental offices are not generally very kid-friendly. Maybe there’s a small table in the waiting area for your kids to find a few juvenile magazines or well-used games, but for the most part, your kids are mixed in with other adults and have to be on their best behavior until the dental professional calls them. The Smile Shack’s philosophy is to have a large specified area dedicated to the interests of children to make the waiting experience better for everyone. Whether it’s the large colorful mural painted on the walls, the big red over-stuffed cushions, the television that’s always on something good or the variety of games to play, kids know that this space is just for them.

Cushion Seats

The first thing parents might notice about the children’s area is the set of large red cushions that immediately draw kids to the area and say, “Go ahead, it’s okay to relax on me.” Whether your kids bring a game from home to play, select one from our “Something For Kids” display of games or just sit and watch the television, on our comfortable cushions is where they’ll most likely be.

Television

Always tuned to kid-friendly programming, the television is a good distraction for kids who might find waiting for an appointment difficult. Or maybe there’s a program they would normally be missing at the time of their appointment. Well, now they can watch it while waiting to be called.

Games

The “Something For Kids” display is an ever-changing set of games attached to blue boards that are easily wiped off and disinfected.
